As you probably know I’ve been (re)working my way through Napoleon Hill’s book, Think & Grow Rich.
And I had a thought…
How many people (maybe you!) believe that THINKING and growing rich is a crazy proposition…
After all, you can’t really just THINK and grow rich… can you?
Well, yes… and no.
Napoleon Hill actually addresses this very objection in his book!
He clarifies, “Wishing will not bring riches. But desiring riches with a state of mind that becomes an obsession, then planning definite ways and means to acquire riches, and backing those plans with persistence which does not recognize failure will bring riches.”
In other words…
BELIEF + A PLAN + ACTION + PERSISTENCE = SUCCESS
In fact, that combination virtually guarantees that you’ll be successful in whatever thing it is you’re pursuing.
Here, according to Napoleon Hill, is how a person can THINK and GROW RICH.
“FIX in your mind the exact amount of money you desire. It is not sufficient merely to say ‘I want plenty of money.’ Be definite as to the amount.”
“DETERMINE exactly what you intend to give in return for the money you desire. (There is no such reality as ‘something for nothing’.)”
“ESTABLISH a definite date when you intend to possess the money you desire.”
“CREATE a definite plan for carrying out your desire, and begin at once, whether you are ready or not, to put this plan into action.”
“WRITE out a clear, concise statement of the amount of money you intend to acquire, name the time limit for its acquisition, state what you intend to give in return for the money, and describe clearly the plan through which you intend to accumulate it.”
“READ your written statement aloud, twice daily, once just before retiring at night, and one after arising in the morning. As you read - see and feel and believe yourself already in possession of the money.”
The path is actually pretty simple. You really can THINK and grow rich. But you’ve got to take the steps above, set your path, and follow it.
Still not convinced?
Then why not try it out for yourself and see what happens ;)
