I’ve been re-reading Charles F. Haanel’s The Master-Key System lately…

And I came across this amazing line.

"A single idea may be worth thousands of dollars."

If that line doesn’t just jump out and grab then keep reading… because I’ve got something for you that could make you very rich.

Because if I told you the answer right away… I know what you’ll be thinking.

Dang it, Russell, I don’t have time for that!

The cultivation of attention is the distinguishing characteristic of every successful man or woman, and is the very highest personal accomplishment which can be acquired."

But Charles F Haanel isn’t just talking about focusing on an idea.

You know how when you get an amazing idea you actually feel amazing?

And then a couple of days later the only reason why you drop the idea is because you start feeling worried, or anxious or doubtful?

Haanel’s idea of concentration is that of maintaining the feelings of hope, wonder and amazement associated with your idea.

It’s not just concentration in the sense of working for an hour straight.

It’s concentration in the sense of working for an hour straight and feeling as excited about your idea at the end as when you started!

He calls it ‘spiritual, emotional and physical’ concentration.

It’s literally one of the only differences between successful people and people still on the road to success.

But people without that kind of concentration power…

Haanel talks about them like this:

But because a successful person can hold a single idea in their mind without getting to anxious or doubtful they can turn that idea into a thousand dollars – and much more!
