How to go the extra mile…
In some of my past emails, I’ve shared with you one of my favorite principles from Napoleon Hill…
That of “going the extra mile.”
This has been a foundational principle to everything I do in my business.
And it’s THE REASON I’ve been able to accomplish what I’ve accomplished.
Going the extra mile in my offers. For my existing customers. Even in how I serve and support my team.
Napoleon Hill said, “It is the one rule you must follow if you expect to write your own price tag and expect to get it.”
He even put this into a formula he called the “QQMA Formula”.
Here’s how it worked.
The Quality of Service You Render + The Quantity of Service you Render + The Mental Attitude in Which you Render that Service…
…equals how much you will receive in compensation.
Those are your three levers.
You can increase the quality of your service. Increase the quality. Or improve your mental attitude in how you deliver the service.
More specifically…
Increasing Quality
What is the quality of your service?
The easiest way to determine this is to look at other service providers or offers in your niche. What is their quality like? What are they providing that you’re not providing? If you over deliver in quality then you’re going to win!
Increasing Quantity
Can you provide more… for the same price?
Most people don’t realize how powerful this is. Remember the first time Amazon offered “free shipping”? Or when you bought something and it felt like the person just kept giving you a ton of free goodies at no additional charge?
Not only does increasing quantity raise perceived value… it also turns people into dedicated lifetime customers.
Improve Your Mental Attitude
This is one of those things most people don’t realize has actual value.
But think about it this way. If you have an employee who is easy to work with, learns from your feedback, and is generally optimistic… you would pay to keep that employee. Not just because those qualities naturally produce better results, but because they’re just more pleasant to be around…
Your mental attitude itself can actually help you get paid more!
Remember this formula the next time you want to increase how much you get paid — and always keep in mind the principle of going the extra mile…
It can take you places you’d never imagine 🙂
