One really interesting bit of science that has become popular over the last few years…
…is about breathing.
It turns out, for instance, that you’re only supposed to breathe through your nose… and there are tons of different ways to control your breath to make yourself feel different (like holding it, breathing slowly, or even hyperventilating).
What’s so fascinating to me is that everybody was breathing…
…but nobody was controlling their breathing.
We all did it automatically… but not consciously.
But here’s what’s really crazy…
“Thinking” is the same way.
It’s one of those things we do instinctively… but not consciously.
I think it’s even more so than breathing.
We often assume that the thoughts we have… are who we are — that somehow those thoughts couldn’t be different… and they can’t be controlled.
We just have to deal with them.
But Napoleon Hill knew better. That’s why he said…
"First comes thought; then organization of that thought, into ideas and plans; then transformation of those plans into reality. The beginning, as you will observe, is in your imagination."
Whether good or bad, it all begins with your thoughts.
And modern science is proving Napoleon Hill right — “cognitive behavioral therapy”, for instance, is an effective form of therapy that literally just teaches people how to think different thoughts.
Think differently… feel different… live differently!
The problem is that most of us don’t control our thoughts. We just live with the thought patterns we’ve always had.
But we can control them!
How?

The key is literally to just schedule time every day — you can even start with just 15 minutes — that’s dedicated to thinking.
Thinking clearly about your goals. Your vision for the future. Your plans. Solutions to problems you’re facing.
I do this every day… and it’s one of the biggest reasons I’ve been able to achieve what I’ve achieved.
The coolest part is that this is available to anyone.
You can start today. You don’t need anything more than a pencil, some paper, and your own mind.
So practice thinking!
