Robert Collier (April 19, 1885 – 1950) was an American author of self-help and New Thought books. He is best known for works such as The Secret of the Ages, The Secret of the Ages Audio Books, and a series of pamphlets including The Secret of Gold. His writing emphasizes the power of self-belief and the potential for success and wealth through the use of imagination and will power.
Today, Collier's works are still widely read and respected in the self-help and personal development fields. His teachings on the power of positive thinking and the laws of attraction continue to inspire people around the world to achieve their goals and live their best lives.
Collier was born on April 19, 1885, in St. Louis, Missouri, to a wealthy family. He was the youngest of six children, and his father was a successful businessman and politician. Collier attended St. Louis Country Day School, but he dropped out of high school and began working as a clerk in his father's business.
In the 1920s, Collier became interested in the New Thought movement and began to study the teachings of metaphysical authors such as Christian D. Larson and Emmet Fox. He became convinced of the power of positive thinking and the laws of attraction, and he started to incorporate these ideas into his writing.
