What doesn’t kill you CAN make you stronger…
This might be a little controversial today — because a lot of people live their lives trying to avoid pain and discomfort…
But we’ve been talking the last few days about Elsie Lincoln Benedict’s book, Brainology (which I just republished!)... and in it she says something spectacular…
"The body and brain can do ANYTHING when faced with a crisis sufficiently significant if we really desire to win. Create emergencies, make promises to the right people, put yourself into a hole so deep that you have GOT to grow to climb out! You will always get out—and receive the world’s rewards for doing so."
Sounds like crazy advice, doesn’t it?!

This is a phenomenon where someone experiences massive growth shortly after a traumatic experience…
It might sound weird.
But pain and trauma are two of the MOST sure-fire ways to grow.
I’m not saying you should wait for traumatic experiences to find you… I AM saying you should seek out a bit of pain… and do hard stuff.
Because the deeper the hole you’ve got to climb out of… the stronger you’ve got to become. ;)
