A Treasury of Success Unlimited

W. Clement Stone

About the Author

W. Clement Stone (1902–2002) was a businessman who built the multi-million-dollar Combined Insurance Company of America. However, his legacy of philanthropy and motivational works outweighs his entrepreneurship prowess. Stone devoted much of his teachings and writings to success, goal-setting, and self-improvement. He concentrated on Positive Mental Attitude (PMA) and success psychology. His works, often influenced by Napoleon Hill, emphasize the impact of self-faith, persistence, and personal responsibility.

Offering both theory and real-world application, Stone draws on real-life stories, self-improvement techniques, and principles of success psychology. Major lessons from the book include:

  • The Power of Positive Mental Attitude (PMA): A winning mindset sets the foundation of success. You can achieve greater things by maintaining optimism, resilience, and confidence.
  • Definiteness of Purpose: Success requires a clear vision, well-defined goals, and unwavering focus.
  • Overcoming Adversity: Every challenge presents an opportunity for growth. Persistence, adaptability, and a strong mindset can help you navigate difficulties.

  • The Habit of Taking Action: Thought alone is insufficient. Consistent action, discipline, and perseverance turn dreams into reality.
  • The Law of Attraction and Success: A positive attitude attracts opportunities, people, and circumstances that align with success.
  • The Importance of Personal Responsibility: Taking ownership of your thoughts, choices, and actions is foundational for self-development and long-term success.
  • Success Stories as Learning Tools: The book shares real-life examples of people who used these principles to achieve greatness, demonstrating how success results from mindset and effort.
  • Giving Back and Creating a Lasting Legacy: True success is about positively impacting others and leaving behind a meaningful legacy, not just wealth.

Every since I was a child I have been fascinated by those in our country who endured lots of different challenges and rose above them to become "famous" in a by-gone era. Now that time has past, and we are in a new and searchable electronic data age, we need to recall these men and women who went before us, and whose example was amazing. Back in the day, as they say. These are folks who did things the most interesting way-they found that success was not something related to the possession of as many electronic gadgets you could purchase, but in reality, that success was to be found in a formula that was more internal than external. This is exactly what it claims to be- a treasury! It contains great riches and amazing wisdom, collected and gathered like coins from all over the world into one place. This is a well done compilation of stories, anecdotes, and proven success techniques assembled the old fashioned way. From within! Great read, and one not to be missed. Shut everything you own off for an afternoon to see how some had to do it-before we had the technology of today!
